Design Wall Monday 10/6/14

Well, the union jacks are off the wall!  I got one of the swap machines for the Quilter's Garden Row Swap in the mail and added it with mine to the wall.  Only one more of those coming in the mail and I'll put the row together.

 

The union jacks are getting their sashing added so I can assemble the top.  If everything goes right, I'll have the top finished this week!!!  :)

Sunday Stash 10/5/14

I had so much fun yesterday!!  My mom and I went on to The Quilt Haus in New Braunfels, TX, to look for some white on white fabric that I needed for the Quilter's Garden row this month.  I had seen on facebook that they were having a sale and thought it may be fun to look.  Well....they had a ton of fabric set out for $4.99/yard!!  Now how would it have been possible to pass that up?

So, I got a yard each of these cute sea themed fabrics...

And mom really liked these stained-glass butterflies...

I saw this next set and immediately thought about my niece, Lauren, so got a yard each of these...

This next set, we got two yards each except the white, which is just a yard...

Next up is this sand castle fabric.  I have several light house/ocean themed quilts planned out and we thought this would make a great backing.  Mom grabbed the whole bolt, 11-1/2 yards!!

And lastly, this was the end of a bolt so there is just over 4 yards here.  The color in the pic is off unfortunately, but it is a really pretty aqua color.

So my Sunday Stash is reporting in about 36 yards of fabric!!!  But the price was awesome and you just can't  go by a sale like that.

Flimsy Finish Friday 10-3-14

I'm so excited to finally be able to share this with y'all!!

I finished this up as a test quilt for Le Ann over at Persimmon Quilts.  She designs the most fabulous mysteries to benefit the Quilts of Valor.  She's posted the last clue and now I can show it off.  Don't you just love it???
