I've been working my backside off trying to get my new house in order so I can sew again. Last night, I got my quilting room to this point...
Which means I was finally able to work on my sewing again!!! So I took some time and got the applique' pieces cut for the Betsy Sue Ross row for the Americana QAL. We have this one...
They still need a picture in the upper left corner but I couldn't find anything that I like there so that's waiting a bit. Here's the next one...
I love the little eagles in the corners of the flags. I'm going to stitch around them with a tan thread to make it look like a hoop. Here's the last one...
I'm really loving this quilt along! Here's the row...
I'm so glad that I'm finally able to sew again!! Today I'm linking up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced, and Let's Bee Social at Sew Fresh Quilts. On Thursday with My Quilt Infatuation for NTT Thursday.
Your blocks are adorable! What a great idea to add stitching around the eagles to make it look like a hoop :)
ReplyDeleteSo fabulous, and so well done. I love the fabrics you used, of course. The hoop will make it perfect! I'm so happy your quilt room is together so you can sew. I know how terrible it is when you want to and just can't. In the spring and summer, a few potted flowers out on that little patio corner will be so lovely. How nice if you could train philodendron up the slats, but then the cold would come. Still, it would be nice for at least six months!
ReplyDeletewowie! That's one clean sewing space. I haven't seen my floor in years. Love the green janome...lol
ReplyDeleteThat is a precious block. I signed up for this but gave up. too much. It's fun to see it being done tho

What a cute block. Your sewing space looks nice, especially the fridge within arms reach so you can get a snack quick like. LOL
