Sunday Stash

I've had such a fun stashing week!!!!  First, please tell me that you all follow the Flash Sales over at The Fat Quarter Shop!!!  If you haven't checked it out, you are seriously doing your pocketbook a disservice.  On Wednesday, I picked up this fabulous fat quarter tower of Veranda by Verna Mosquera for Free Spirit for......$32!!!  Plus taxes and shipping, I still only paid $42 for 31 fat quarters and aren't they fantastic????

Here's a breakout shot.  I cannot wait to start playing with these!

On Thursday, I took off work and loaded up mom and my daughter for a trip to the coast.  Well, the Row by Row Experience started on the first so I had to plan a route that took us by "new to me" quilt shops.  It was so much fun!  I found the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 50th Anniversary fabrics and had to get the main panel:

Here's the other side:

Just couldn't pass that up!  So many memories and I just know as soon as I start to sew it up one of my kids will try to lay claim.  But my favorite find is this next panel...

I fell in love with it and just kept coming back to look at it again and again so of course a panel had to come home with me.  Here are the last two blocks of the panel:

It's an older line called Oceanica by Julie Paschkis for In the Beginning fabrics.  I have a quilt design running around my mind using this and some ocean wave type blocks.  I really need to make the time to start that one.

Next up is a fabric depicting quilt shops. I just adore how cute and whimsical this piece is.

A simple, pretty, cornflower blue piece.  My favorite color in my favorite shade so of course I had to bring a piece home.

This paisley fabric.  The colors in it are great for my style.  The print is huge so it normally wouldn't have come home but the price was right (as in $4/yard!) so I brought a yard home.

And lastly, the license plates for the shops I visited over the weekend.

I've decided how I'm going to used these and am a bit excited to test out my idea.  I'll share more once I see the plan in action.

Did you get to do any fabric shopping over the holiday weekend?  Bring home any fun goodies?  I can't wait to see everyone's new stash!

Linking up with Molli Sparkles.
