Snapshots - Like Riding a Bike - RSC15 - Whirlers

Hi y'all!  I've been so busy!  I'm moving on the 25th so most of my time has been spent packing.  But I did get a visit this weekend from Cassidy for her birthday and she brought three wonderful new friends with her so I had a full house.  We went to Rainforest Cafe on Saturday to celebrate.  (Cassidy's on the right, and her best friend/roommate, Jessica, is on the left)

Cassidy and Jessica

Cassidy wants to be a large animal vet so this restaurant is her favorite place to go.

In between running around with these kids, I did manage to get two blocks worked up.  First is the, "Like Riding a Bike," block for the Snapshots QAL.

I had one piece that I had upside down and didn't notice until the block was assembled, so this one had a bit of ripping, but it turned out adorable.  I simply love it!!  And those pinwheels finish at 1-1/2".

Next up is the Whirlers block, the first orange block of the month in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge being hosted by so scrappy.

RSC15 - Whirlers

This was a really simple block.  But I just don't have much in the way of orange!  Even so, you gotta love when Pebbles and Bam Bam come out to play! :)

Because of the move, not a ton of sewing will be happening in the next few weeks.  I do have my leaders/enders ready to show you tomorrow for our monthly linkup so be sure to stop by tomorrow and share!

Today I'm linking up with so scrappy for her Scrap Saturday, with Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday, BOM's Away with What A Hoot, Main Crush Monday at Cooking Up Quilts, Bits 'n' Bobs for Design Board Monday, and Monday Makers at Hug-a-Bit Quilts.

Cute blocks!
Tell Cassidy I saw two Moose last week! Mom and her calf, not 15ft away! My first time, so I guess I am still pretty excited, haha!

Rain Forest Cafe was my daugher's favorite place to eat when we lived in Texas. Happy birthday to Cassidy. Love your snapshot block and your RSC 15 sampler block. You made good use of the orange fabrics you have.
