I'm Teaching!

I'm so excited!  I've been talking with one of the local quilt shops, Memories by the Yard, and they have begun selling my patterns and....I'm getting the chance to teach each one of them!!  Thought I'd take some time to share it with you today.

First up will be Butterfly Trellis....

Butterfly Trellis

I love this quilt and can't wait to see the color combinations that you come up with!  This one is going to be on January 10, from 12-5.  It's a very easy quilt to make and we're going to have so much fun making it!

Next up will be Delectable Flowers.

Delectable Flowers

This was my first quilt for Moda and it is still a favorite.  It is a lot easier to make than it looks and I look forward to sharing that with you!  It will be on January 16 from 1-5.

And finally, we will be doing NIOSA.

NIOSA

This is a pretty special one to me.  It reminds me of San Antonio and just means home.  Again, it's a pretty simple quilt and you'll enjoy making this one.  We'll be doing this one just in time for Fiesta/NIOSA on February 7 from 12-5.

If you're anywhere near San Antonio, I hope you'll come join me for a class or two (or three!).  We'll have so much fun!  Give Memories by the Yard a call today to sign up!

Dashing Stars

Thank y'all for being so patient with me!  My posts have been sporadic as I'm still on my push to finish the quilts for Moda Bake Shop.  But thankfully, one more is done with only one more to go!  Speaking of....I'm here today to introduce you to Dashing Stars!

 Dashing Stars - Cover Image

This is a really simple design but it is so much fun!  The fabrics are Dot.Dot.Dash by Me and My Sister Designs for Moda and are just so bright and cheerful!

 Dashing Stars - Featured Image

And yes, that's a yellow polka dot background!  I absolutely love polka dots and this quilt is full of them...

 Dashing Stars - Block

I truly hope that you enjoy making this quilt as much as I did.  If you do make one, I'd love to see your version!!

Butterfly Trellis Is Here!

I tell you my friends, thanks so much for bearing with me lately. I am right in the middle of a big push of projects for Moda Bake Shop and will be for several more weeks. But today, I finally get to show you Butterfly Trellis!  I so WISH I could get the pictures to do this quilt justice!

Butterfly Trellis

This quilt has had 3 photo shoots and this is the best I could get.  It's so pretty!  Here's a few close ups...

Butterfly Trellis - Closeup

The fabric is Colette by Moda.  It is full of those soft, gorgeous pastels that just scream, "Spring," to me.

Butterfly Trellis - Butterfly Block

It's full of paisley and pinks and purples, blues and greens.  It's just beautiful.  I also made a crib size version to put up in the QUILT SHOP THAT WANTS TO SELL MY PATTERNS!!!

Butterfly Trellis Baby Quilt

So much going on my friends!!  This pattern is on Moda Bake Shop in the Full/Queen size.  If you would like the instructions for the other sizes, I have the pattern available in my Etsy store.   And again, to celebrate, everything in the shop is 20% off using coupon code, BUTTERFLY20, good through the 21st.

Americana - Freedom Lane

Did y'all have a good Halloween??  I had so much fun.  I'll do a post later and share some of the fun but I did manage to get some sewing done.  I needed to sew up my Freedom Lane as part of the Americana Quilt Along that my dear friend Deana is hosting.  And let me just tell you, it is so freaking cute!!!  Here's the first block, the church...

Americana - Church

It's so pretty!!  Then I sewed up the schoolhouse...

Americana - Schoolhouse

Love it so much!!  And then I made up the village house...

Americana - Village House
There is one more block, but I forgot to take grey with me and as the block is a cemetery, I was out of luck.  Here is the row so far...

Americana - Freedom Lane

I love it so much!  Deana is so talented.  I love every one of her designs.

NIOSA is here!!

I can't believe it's finally here!  My newest pattern for Moda Bake Shop is live!  I've been dying to show this one to you.  So without further ado, here is NIOSA...

NIOSA

For those of you that aren't familiar with it, NIOSA (N-eye-O-sah) is Night in Old San Antonio.  During Fiesta, I was inspired by all of the bright, fun colors of the piƱatas and cascarones that hail in Spring in San Antonio.  I started playing around with sawtooth stars and came up with these fun, bright blocks.  They remind me of the fun colors of Fiesta on a night sky, thus NIOSA.  Here's a closer look...

NIOSA - Center

This quilt is made with a fabulous fabric line called Good Karma by Stephanie Ryan.  The colors are so deep, so saturated, that it works perfectly for my NIOSA quilt.

NIOSA - Side

The pattern is on Moda in the full/queen size.  If you want it in sizes crib/lap/twin/king, I have listed it in my Etsy store.  And to celebrate my second quilt for Moda, we're doing a 20% discount on all of your purchases through the end of the month!  Just use promo code NIOSA20.

NIOSA - Bench

I hope y'all enjoy this one as much as I do!  Alex has already been campaigning for it.  Who is the perfect match for this quilt for you?  If you make it, I'd love to see it!  Please drop me an email sharing your pics.

Patches and Pinwheels - Leader and Ender Linky Party!

I'm soooo sorry this is so late!  I am running late for everything this morning but I didn't forget you!  Today is the day to share our leader/ender progress.  So as a reminder, here is where I was last month...

Patches and Pinwheels 9-15-15

Looks like I had 48 sets done.  Now here is where I am this month...

Patches and Pinwheels 10-20-15

I'm up to 51 sets.  I have three or four more sitting on my work table waiting for their pairs so I hope to up this quite a bit next month.  I THINK, if I've calculated correctly, that I need 84 sets.  That would make a 72" x 84" without borders.  I'm really loving the layout and colors so I'll be excited to finish this one up.

On Wednesday, I'm linking up with Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday.

Now it's your turn!  Grab a button and show us your progress!  Link up below.

Rainbow Scrap Challenge - Row Complete and Brown Started

Happy Columbus Day!  I'm getting a late start on the blog post today because work hasn't heard it's a holiday and it's been busy so far.  I managed to get the orange row completed for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge being hosted by so scrappy...

RSC15 - Orange Row

I just love watching this come together!  So many scraps from so many fun projects.  So much fun!!  And here's the first block for this month...

RSC15 - Interlocked Blocks

The block that so scrappy had used the tri recs ruler to make and I don't have it so I switched it with this on, interlocked squares.  I really like the way this one came out.

Today I'm linking up with Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday, Cooking Up Quilts for Main Crush Monday, Bits n Bobs for Design Board Monday, and BOM's Away at What A Hoot Quilts.  On Tuesday, I'm linking up with Quilt Story for Fabric Tuesday, with Freemotion by the River for Linky Tuesday, with Blossom Heart Quilts for Sew Cute Tuesday, and with Mrs. Sew and Sow for Scraptastic Tuesday. Frog Mystery Quilt

In my ongoing attempt to update my finished quilts, I wanted to share this adorable frog mystery quilt.

Frog Mystery Quilt - Full

This was a New Year's Eve mystery quilt from a few years ago.  I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

Frog Mystery Quilt - Left

I fussy cut the block centers then used the stripes built into the fabric as the first border.

Frog Mystery Quilt - Right

The star points are a gorgeous coral fabric with really pretty swirls.  I love it!

Frog Mystery Quilt - Center

I finished this up for my nephew, Logan.  He's older now and needs a big boy quilt so another one needs to be made...soon!  Here's one more shot of the full quilt...

Frog Mystery Quilt - Full

Today I'll be linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish It Friday, with Fabric Frenzy at Ft. Worth Fabric Studio, and for Can I Get A Whoop Whoop at Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
