Dog Gone Cute Blog Hop - a Finish and a Giveaway!

Hey y'all!  Thanks so much for stopping by for the Dog Gone Cute QAL Blog Hop being hosted by Lorna over at Sew Fresh Quilts!  I must say that I've been super excited about participating in this event and have been dying to show you my quilt!  So without further ado, let's start with a recap of my blocks.

So cute!  I don't know how anyone could resist these little guys!

I think that last one there is my favorite.  Such a sweetie!

And those polka dots!!  Had to have polka dots!

Those patch eyes!  Adorbs!

Now, here they are all together...

Isn't it fantastic!!!  There is a big argument going on between my daughter and I over who gets this quilt.  I think it will find a home in my living room.  I just can't let it go!

I just love these guys!  Thanks again Lorna for such a wonderful pattern.  These guys are soooo cute!

Dog Gone Cute Quilt Along Begins!!

Hi Everyone!!!  Today is the day!  You can start your own version of Dog Gone Cute with Lorna over at Sew Fresh Quilts.  As you can tell from my posts over the last week, I'm super excited about this one.

Today, Lorna has posted the fabric requirements and given a coloring sheet so you can start planning.  Next week starts the sewing.  To inspire you, here are a few of my blocks...

More Dogs Join the Dog Gone Cute Kennel!

Today I have two more dogs to show you in the Dog Gone Cute Quilt Along being hosted by the ever so talented Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts.  First up...

 

I just love him!!!  Those polka dots....sigh!  And next is...

 

 So sweet!!!  I'm telling you, you need to do this quilt along!  These dogs are so much fun to make and you'll fall in love with them, just as I have.  It officially starts tomorrow and I believe she's sharing it in two sizes.

Dog Gone Cute - Three More Join the Pound!

My friends, if you haven't yet decided to join the quilt along that Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts is hosting starting on September 1, please allow me to convince you!  The Dog Gone Cute pattern is so much fun to work with!  I have three more dogs to show you today.  First up is this little guy...

Isn't he adorable?  He and the next one were a bit more tricky because you have to pull parts from the first 4 blocks and mix and match to get the look you want.  Hint:  draw it out.  I pulled my graph paper and drew it out and then figured my pattern pieces.  It helped a lot to have that sketch.  Here's the next one...

I just can't decide which is my favorite!  I love each one so much.  That finished my six with the ears up.  Here's my next one, dog 5 from her pattern...

So flippin' cute!!!  I must say that I think this is my favorite fabric combo for these dogs.  Something so sweet about it!

Dog Gone Cute - First Four Dogs Complete!

Sunday I had so much fun!  I spent the day making dogs for Lorna's (Sew Fresh Quilts) new quilt along, Dog Gone Cute!  And they are so so cute!

I just had such fun pulling fabrics...

Seeing their sweet faces come together...

The argument has already started on who will get this quilt...

I think it will be perfect in my living room!  Cassidy swears that it is meant to be hers.  But I think she has enough quilts for someone that doesn't sew!  What do you think?  Eight more blocks to go!
