RSC15 - Road to California

I got a ton of sewing done over the weekend.  So much so, that I'm breaking it down into several posts.  If this is any indication of what I can get done now that I'm an empty nester (bittersweet, let me tell you)....

Friday night I focused on the Rainbow Scrap Challenge being hosted by soscrappy.  I sewed up the Road to California block to catch up with August...

 RSC15 - Road to California

I ran out of good sized neutral scraps so the scissors came from a half yard cut I dug out of stash.  After that I was able to assemble the Row 2 and join it with Row 3...

RSC15 - Rows 2 and 3

I love this quilt!!!  It will end up being queen sized I think and it is progressing so well.  I cannot wait to see how it finishes!!

It looks like it's shaping up to be a lovely quilt. How big are the blocks?

I can easily see why you are so in love with your RSC15 quilt... it's turning out beautifully!! It somehow seems softer than some of the other quilts in the challenge. LOVE it!!! (Of course, I love the vibrant ones, too.)
