Hi my friends! I'm so excited to share my leaders/enders with you today. I've been super busy. If you read through my last post, you'll remember that I've dedicated my leader/ender space for Threads of Love, a charity that gives quilts and other handmade items to babies in the NICU. They need quilts that are 36" x 42", a good size for babies as well as to cover the incubators. I managed TWO in one month!
The first one I made using the Scrap Jar Stars pattern by A Little Bit Biased.
I absolutely love this one! I've gotten it quilted but still need to unpin it and trim it down then add the binding.
Next I made one for a boy using the Star Surround pattern by Happy Quilting.
It really is too cute! I've already made a good dent in my third one and have two more cut out. This is so much fun and going to a great cause. If you'd be interested in helping with this charity by donating a quilt or by sending fabrics, please let me know!
Now to link up. Let's see your leader/ender progress!
Today, I'm linking up with Fabric Tuesday at Quilt Story, Linky Tuesday at Freemotion by the River, Sew Cute Tuesday at Blossom Heart Quilts. And with Let's Be Social at Sew Fresh Quilts on Wednesday.
Love both of your NICU quilts, so bright and cheerful. I make Project Linus quilts for kids at our Chidrens Hospital locally. It is very satisfying. On my post I showed the L/E quilt I'm doing with charm squares. Glad to meet you on Sew Cute Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteWell, I absolutely love it too!
ReplyDeletePerfect!! My leader/ender is just a stack on 9 patches.... but the stack is getting larger!
ReplyDeleteThat Scrap Jar Stars quilt is very pretty - I can see it in lots of different colour variations :)
ReplyDeleteBoth the quilts are wonderful. I love what limiting the palette does for a quilt.
ReplyDeleteThose quilts are so cute and will be greatly appreciated. How kind of you to share your talent with those in need. And the leader/ender challenge is a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts turned out beautifully!
