I just love the fabrics I pulled together for this one so I can't wait to see how it turns out. It was so much fun! But a ton of HST's, and I'm a bit of a nut about them so I have to square them up. But they are awesome. Can't wait for Friday!!!
Also, my sister who hasn't worked on quilting in YEARS asked me to reteach her DEAR JANE! Wow. I kept trying to convince her that she should start with something easier to get back into the swing of things but that girl never does anything easy. So I pulled mine out and did two blocks (forgot the picture for A-8) but I did A-9 as well....
The picture makes it look black and white but it is actually a deep navy blue. I also managed to get my stocking done for the #haveyourselfaquiltylittlechristmas sew along that Lori Holt is hosting on instagram.
She finally revealed the layout of the quilt so my last blocks are taking longer because I'm making 6 of them to enlarge the layout. I'm trimming up units right now so hopefully that'll be done tonight.
And finally, here's a look at my design wall this morning....
Can't wait to see what everyone is working on! I'm linking up with Bonnie over at Quiltville and Judy at Patchwork Times and Freshly Pieced.
Your mystery quilt colors are great. It's fun to see what everyone is using. I could sit and gaze at your design wall all day!
ReplyDeleteLove your GI colors. It will be fun to see how the quilt progresses.
ReplyDeleteOK, tell all about the sewing machine and the rotary cutter blocks on your design wall. They are so cute. And, heaven knows I do NOT need a new project.
Love the variety of your Design Wall. Congrats on the completion of step 1.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your design wall all I can say is...you have a lot going on! Look forward to seeing how your color choices bloom in Bonnie's quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love your soft color choices for the Grand Illusion mystery. It's fun to see how all the different choices we make come together as the weeks progress.
ReplyDeleteI love to see different colour schemes, too! Love the purple.
ReplyDeleteYour design wall looks amazing - so many beautiful things happening.
I have printed out the Grand Illusion pattern too and have not yet decided what fabrics to use. I am also a little gun shy to start it right now with all I need to finish this month. It sure is tempting me bad though. I love your fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteHave you had a Dear Jane already in the works or are you starting from the top? Just wondering since I am doing one too.
