Snapshots QAL - Tea Pot

Last night I finished up my Tea Pot for the Snapshots QAL being hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop to benefit St. Jude's.  It's a terrific cause and has already raised $20,000 since it began in January.  Isn't this block adorable???

Tea Pot - Snapshots QAL

Mine is going to be a bit different than everybody else's because I messed up.  See that spout there on the left side?  It's supposed to be on the right.  But....you see how it's a HST sewn onto a rectangle?  Yeah, I sewed it on the wrong corner.  Then cut.  Then realized my error.  So....it's being made useful and not wasted.  :)

In case anyone is wondering, I'm using my Miss Kate fabric for this quilt.  The Fat Quarter Shop is offering kits for this quilt using Daysail.

Tonight is the Friday Night Sew In being hosted by Sugarlane Quilts.  I'll be working on the snowflake block for our Not So Last Minute Christmas Quilt Along.  Head on over to Sugarlane Quilts to signup and join us tonight!

Your green teapot is lovely, and no one would know you made a mistake. I'm doing the snapshots quilt, too, but I haven't made my teapot yet.

I love your teapot! And being right handed, it seems to face the correct direction for me to pour. =) Love your yellow block, too.
