My First Bee Block!

Last night was the first really relaxing night of sewing I've had in forever. I listened to an audio book and stitched up a couple of quick blocks. First one is the block for yesterday's 365 Quilt Block Challenge.

My camera battery died so we're dealing with phone pics today.  That was a simple block and it also measures 3-1/2".  Really looking forward to the more fun, detailed blocks but these do make for a quick finish.

Next I worked on my first bee block ever!  I was invited to join the Sew Sweet Bee and our Queen Bee, Jane, asked for a sailboat block from the FQS Snapshots QAL.  She sent us the background fabric and a couple of pieces of Daysail.  I added a few pieces of Miss Kate and whipped up this cutie...

This one is going to be hard to send out.  I love it!  It is too cute!  That's it for today!  What are you up to?  Any new projects started?

  1. Cute little sailboat! Looks like it would be easy and quick to sew up.

  2. Very nice colors! I'll probably see more linkies to your 365 blocks as I'm working on that too. Cheers.

  3. They're both fun, but I do love the sailboat - such cute fabrics.

  4. That little sailboat in those fun prints looks absolutely fabulous! Yes, I can see how it will be hard to allow that block to set sail. But so nice to know it is going to a friendly port!

  5. Very cute block, I can see why you'd be sorry to let it sail off somewhere else.
