RSC15 has Begun!

I've been watching So Scrappy and her Rainbow Scrap Challenges from the sidelines for a few years. This year, I decided that I've had enough watching and that I need to, "Just Do It!"  And I think I picked the perfect year to play.  She is designing a variety of 6" blocks and then setting them into sawtooth star blocks.  I do love me some stars!  This month's color is blue and here is my first block...

The stars will then be set with Irish Chain blocks.  Her design drawing is here.  Isn't it gorgeous??  And it is using SCRAPS!!  I still have a gazillion of them.  They just never seem to diminish in quantity at all.

So while I was whipping that up last night, I also did block 29 in my Austen Family Album quilt.  Can you believe, only 7 more to go?!?  I have my setting block fabric too so I'm really, really hoping to finish this top by the end of the weekend.  We'll see...

That's it for my evening last night.  I hope some of you decide to come play in RSC15.  It looks to be a lot of fun this year!

  1. You can't leave those scraps alone for a minute! They multiply every time you turn your back. Love your blocks, especially the blue one. I do a few of the scrappy color blocks each year, but never put them into a rainbow quilt, just use them wherever. Maybe I'll actually do a quilt this year. LOL

I am loving that cute little blue star. Your fabrics totally make it.
